Black-footed Ferret
The black-footed ferret is native to the American Great Plains. Their diet almost solely consists of prairie dogs. Black-footed ferrets are nocturnal, and are mainly solitary outside of breeding season. In 2008 they were evaluated as endangered on the ICUN Red List.

- At one point, black-footed ferrets were listed as extinct in the wild on the ICUN Red List.
- This species can have litters of up to 6 ferrets.
